The Midwest Ag Energy Network seeks to tap the wealth of knowledge of its members by engaging them in working groups that address key ag energy issues.

Summit Planning Group

The most recent working group has been formed to plan the Second Annual Midwest Ag Energy Network Conference, Next Generation Ag Energy: Policies to Advance Regional Growth. The Summit will be held February 5-6 in Madison, WI. Click here to learn more about the conference. Click here to view the members of the planning group.

A working group was also formed to plan the First Annual Midwest Ag Energy Network Summit, Midwest Energy Independence: Taking Ownership, which was held on December 12-13, 2006 in the Twin Cities. As a result of the first summit, the paper Where Agriculture Meets Energy: Policy Recommendations from the Ag Energy Summit was produced. Local Ownership Working Group

The first working group examined the issues surrounding local ownership and ensuring that rural communities can retain the wealth created by ag energy enterprises. The working group process culminated in the completion of a White Paper, titled, Locally-Owned Ag Energy: An American Energy Solution. Click here to learn more about the paper.
